To be the one-stop resource for Catholics interested in the life cycle of the Church (institutional, communal and personal) in search of information about programs, projects as well as actionable, lived experiences that are both informative and action-oriented to our three constituencies.
In the years to come we pledge to be:
COLLABORATIVE: As an inclusive entity, we open our resource to all Catholic entities who are interested in supporting our vision. We choose to be altruistic focusing on the common good as an outcome in reporting information/ actions/events taken by our partner organizations. We will report objectively and may host a blog to engage others in dialogue around one piece of information, action or event. Our purpose is actionable engagement by the grassroots, i.e., the Church, and not the glory of one partner; we will respect and honor the contribution of all and report on them with no bias.
COLLEGIAL: We value relationships and believe that all opinions are part of a whole that no one to date has defined. Each is a thread in the tapestry of our own evolution; we will report in newspaper style with noteworthy headlines of information, actions and events with links to our partner organizations adding to our own growth and development.
INFORMATIVE: We are Macro thinkers gearing our reporting toward the positive, actionable issues that offer future opportunities to improve the Church. We do not report on the following: petitions, critical writing that does not offer a solution, pleas to the hierarchy to change current rules. We do not deny criticism rightfully exists but choose to focus on positive solutions. Identifying events, newsworthy stories and projects (successful and unsuccessful, providing learning opportunities for dialogue, potentially replicating actions that work as well as what not to do) with those engaged in them. We report actions/events with preparatory timelines, anticipated outcomes and budgets if available.
We will make such resources, reference materials, articles, workbooks and manuals (some with a fee and others gratis).
We will make available interactive resources (social media conversations as well as Zoom meetings bi-monthly for conversations and innovative idea exchanges.
To increase awareness and knowledge of the MACRO picture of change; to assess our response to it and to act intentionally to fulfill the mission for which we were created while contributing to the common good.
Overall, that is the goal of The Innovative Church. We choose the represent the whole so there will be goals that apply directly to our partners that may or may not be shared by us as an organization.
